Who is responsible?

Lingo-Taal Solutions (Pty) Ltd, CIPC 2026/723616/07, is the responsible party for personal information it processes to manage its own enquiries and assignments. Contact the director at kseepe@lingotaalsolutions.co.za for privacy requests, or the administrative desk for the company’s formal address. When handling information on a client’s instructions, the parties’ responsibilities must be set out in the assignment arrangements.

What the website processes

The quotation and enquiry forms prepare email text in your browser. They do not automatically submit your details to Lingo-Taal, upload documents or save form contents in browser storage. The request reaches us only when you send it through your email application. Our hosting provider may process technical access logs, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and access time, to operate and secure the website.

Information you choose to provide

An enquiry may include your name, organisation, email address, telephone number, language needs, deadline, venue and project description. Required fields help us understand and respond to the request; other details are optional. Please do not include identity numbers, sensitive legal or medical details, children’s information or confidential source documents in the initial brief.

Purpose and lawful use

Information is used to respond to enquiries, scope requested services, administer agreed work, communicate about delivery and payments, and meet applicable legal obligations. Processing must have an appropriate lawful basis, such as steps toward a requested agreement, performance of an agreement, a legal obligation or a legitimate interest, as applicable. Where consent is required, it should be obtained for the specific purpose. An enquiry is not a newsletter subscription.

Recipients and service providers

Information may be handled by the director, assigned practitioners and relevant hosting, email or operational service providers where necessary for the work. Access and confidentiality requirements should be agreed before source material is shared. If a project requires another specialist or a transfer outside South Africa, the relevant purpose, recipient arrangements and safeguards must be addressed before the transfer.

Retention and security

Enquiry and project records should be kept only for as long as needed for their purpose, contractual administration or applicable legal requirements. Request details about retention for your assignment through the director’s desk. Confidential assignments should have an agreed method of transfer, access arrangements and disposal requirements. No internet or email channel is completely risk-free; ask us about handling sensitive material before sending it.

Your choices and rights

You may ask about access to your personal information, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to processing where the law permits, and withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. Legal retention duties may limit deletion. We may need to verify your identity in a proportionate way before acting on a request. Contact kseepe@lingotaalsolutions.co.za.

Cookies, maps and social links

This website does not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The area map loads only when you choose to load it; Google then receives technical information associated with the request. Clicking WhatsApp or a social-sharing link connects you to that provider, whose privacy terms apply. Sharing buttons pass the public website link, not the contents of your enquiry form.

Contact the director about a concern. You may also approach South Africa’s Information Regulator regarding POPIA rights and complaints. This notice describes the website and enquiry process; project-specific handling requirements should be confirmed in writing.
